Slake: Los Angeles and the Last Bookstore present The Dirty, an evening of readings from our forthcoming fourth issue—theme: “Dirt”—and confessions from the audience. Guests will be able to enter “confession booths,” where they can anonymously write down their deepest, darkest, dirtiest secret. Throughout the evening of readings, we’ll read your confessions to the group. Some people call this therapy. We call it fun.
The night’s dirty participants will include: Luke Davies (Candy, Interferon Psalms), Joseph Mattson (Empty the Sun), Antonia Crane (Black Clock, ZYZZYVA), Lauren Weedman (screen credits include Hung and The Daily Show), Larry Fondation (Unintended Consequences, Common Criminals), and the award-winning writing team of Harry Shannon (the Mick Callahan novels, The Hungry) and Joe Donnelly.
